KARACHI – UBG has identified one mosare malpractice and misappropriation of Election Commission of FPCCI which they committed in election of fpcci 2021. The complete case has been referred to DGTO with all prudent evidences who has called the hearing of the case on 11-08-2021 in his office at Islamabad. DGTO has called the Secretary General of fpcci in person and Election Commission.
In the petition Mr Tariq Haleem leader Of UBG has drawn the attention of DGTO towards the provisional voters list and final voter list of Fpcci election 2021 identifying that the Provisional voters list does not contain the name of Pakistan Chemical Manufacturers Association Lahore in the category of Association while the Final list of voters issued by the Election Commission bearing the name of the said association at Sr No 245 and 246.
The inclusion of the said association direct in the final voters list is yet another proof of misappropriation, malpractices and bias attitude of election commission and clear violation of the election rules.
Chemical Manufacturers Association Lahore is representative trade body of Mr Anjum Nisar immediate past president of Fpcci 2020 hence it was arbitrary obliged by the election commission;
As per rules of election contained in election schedule 2021, the last date for filing of nominations was 28 Oct 2020 and it was explicitly mentioned that nominations received after the expiry of last date will not be entertained.
The Election Commission is not empowered to entertain any nominations after the expiry of last date and include any nominations directly in final voter list bypassing the provisional voter list;
It is evident from the record that neither the DGTO office nor any Honourable High Court had issued any order for inclusion of the said association in final voter list. So much so even the Election Commission consciously didn’t issue any notification for belated inclusion of this association to avoid any objection on the said nominations.
In violation of rules of election the representatives of the said association were illegally allowed by Election Commission to cast their votes in favour of BMP
In the light of available evidences and record the two votes of this association may be declared invalid and the representatives may be debarred from their membership, Tariq Haleem made prayer in his petition and he has also demanded a legal action against Election Commission for their alleged and dishonest act of favouritism.
Earlier the Election Commission was alleged by DGTO for illegally allowing the representatives of Pakistan Afghanistan Joint Chamber Of commerce and industry which was granted licence on 29-12-2020 and Loralai CCI which was not valid and not recognized as trade body registered. The right of votes in fpcci election 2021 was not granted by DGTO but the Election commission allowed them to cast their votes in favour of BMP
