Karachi – The industrialist fraternity rejected unnecessary holidays on Eid-ul-Fitr. United Business Group President Zubair Tufail, Central Spokesperson Gulzar Firoz, Chairman Sindh Region Khalid Tawab and Secretary General Hanif Gohar said that on behalf of the government on Eid-ul-Fitr. The announcement of 5 days holidays is not a right decision,
the economic conditions of the country are already bad, the industrial wheel is not running continuously, many industries are closing down and exports are also badly affected due to the increase in industrial cost. The decision to announce 5 holidays is wrong and the government should reconsider this decision. Commenting on the five holidays on Eid-ul-Fitr. Zubair Tufail has said that at a time when the country is facing a severe economic crisis, Eid-ul-Fitr should be celebrated in these circumstances. 5 days holidays is a very unnecessary and unwise decision which the government should immediately review.
Hanif Gohar said that business is already facing serious problems and the business community cannot afford excessive holidays.
