KARACHI: On the occasion of Youm-e-Ashura, This day has a special significance in Islamic history. This is the day when Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), the Holy Prophet’s grandson, took on the forces of falsehood for the gory of Islam.
Ambassador at Large for Global Peace and Human Rights Allama Ahsan Siddiqui Chairman, Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony (ICPH) said sacrifice of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions is in fact a guiding principle for the Muslims which taught them to sacrifice everything during the struggle for truth.
In his official message on the occasion of Youm-e-Ashura, He said the historic battler of Karbala fought between truth and falsehood has made it clear that the real success and steadfastness is the passion to sacrifice everything for revival and promotion of Islamic values. The great Imam externalized Islam by choosing to sacrifice his family. He said that the supreme sacrifice of Hazrat Imam e Hussain (RA) gave birth to attitudes of patience, submission and perseverance, and the entire humanity continues to benefit from them.
Global Peace Ambassador Allama Ahsan said the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A) was in fact the victory of truth, and symbol of steadfastness against oppression and a glorious example of sacrifice.
Imam Allama Ahsan Siddiqui said that the sacrifice of Imam Hussain gave Muslims a lesson that one should not evade even sacrificing his life while fighting against the evil forces. He said that the act of Imam e Hussain (RA) elevated the stature of humanity and he is a shared asset of the entire civilized world. Come and let us vow that we would follow the principles espoused by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) for security of our motherland and glory of Islam and would not hesitate to offer any sacrifice for the sake of Islamic principles.
The Chairman Interfaith Commission for Peace & Harmony (ICPH) urged the countrymen to make a pledge to take every step for victory of truth, promotion of justice, adherence to Islamic values, and for national progress and prosperity.
