Karachi- A meeting of All Makran Customs Agents Association (AMCAA) held at residence of Mir Imdad Rind at Karachi. The meeting was presided over by the Association Chief Organizer Mir Barkat Rind and attended by all executive body members.
The meeting discussed the following severe problems facing by the traders of the area and also affecting the enhancement of Govt. revenue. The chief organizer Mir Barkat Rind said that our Gwadar Collectorate implementing different policy of imports and exports in our Mekran Pak-Iran borders of Mand, Panjgur and 250 Gwadar, specifically the import of Iron bar, Dates and Apples, Export of Mango Bananas and Juices etc.
There should be one policy of FBR for the export and import of same items at Pak-Iran borders of 250 Gwadar, Mand , Panjgur and Taftan. Some items allow for export and import from Taftan and 250 borders only, while there are restrictions for the import and export of same items from Mand and Panjgur.
This discrimination policy is creating resentment among the local traders, requires to be resolved immediately.
Extra ordinary check posts being established by Customs Intelligence in all over Makran Region creating unavoidable obstacles and delaying the consignments to reach the destinations.
All members shown their serious concerns over the unnecessary establishment of a new Customs Collectorate at Khuzdar. This unnecessary and unjustified Collectorate creating more problems in the way of Border Trade.
They unanimously demand to the Chairman FBR to be kind enough to resolve our these genuine problems to enable us to promote the Pak-Iran legal Border Trade without any hindrances and enable us to enhance the Govt. revenue. FBR Chairman consideration and resolving these genuine problems at his earliest possible convenience will highly be appreciated.
