Algeria: Pakistan has participated in the 55th Edition of the International Fair of Algiers 24-19 June 2024 with an important delegation conducted by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan – TDAP, composed by more than 30 economic operators covering different sectors as: surgical instruments, textile, sport articles, cosmetics, motorbikes tyres and tubes, safety gloves and wears, electronics…
On the occasion, an Algerian- Pakistani Business Forum has been organized on 26/06/2024 by the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry – CACI to discuss opportunities of trade and investment in order to enhance bilateral economic cooperation.
At this event, the representatives of the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry – CACI, Algerian Investment Promotion Agency – AAPI and the National Agency for the Promotion of Foreign Trade – ALGEX have presented the business and investment system in Algeria, highlighting the privileges and guaranties granted by the new investment law 2022, also they have introduced an overview on bilateral trade exchanges.
The President of CACI, Kamal Hamni, declared “Algeria is ready to open the doors of African markets to Pakistani investors through the African Free Trade Zone and the Arab Free Trade Zone.”
Pakistani Ambassador to Algeria, H.E. Mr. Khalid Hussain Khan Godaru, “called on Pakistani economic operators to benefit from the investment opportunities offered by Algeria and its encouraging business climate. He attributed that the goal is to raise trade exchanges between the two countries to reach $1 billion within 10 years, through intensifying meetings and exchanging working visits between delegations of the two countries to learn more about the needs of each country.

The 55th Edition of the International Fair was inaugurated by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, It is a major economic event and one of the most important fairs in Africa. It provides an exceptional opportunity for Algerian and foreign companies to promote new partnerships, develop connections and offers networking opportunities.
This new edition saw the participation of 800 exhibitors from 32 Arab, European, African and Asian countries, of which the guest of honor is Turkey.
To be noted that Algeria and Pakistan signed in 2022 one memorandum of understanding to establish the Joint Business Council – JBC between the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry – CACI and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industries – FPCCI.
