Mumbai: In the first innings of the second Test match between New Zealand and India, New Zealand bowler Ajaz Patel bowled out the entire Indian team in Mumbai Test.
New Zealand bowler Ajaz Patel became the third bowler to take 10 wickets in an innings. Ajaz Patel’s bowled 10 wickets for 119 runs.
Before Ajaz Patel, Jim Laker and Anil Kumble have also taken 10 wickets in an innings. Jim Laker of England had taken 10 wickets in an innings against Australia in 1956. India’s Anil Kumble had taken 10 wickets in an innings of a Test match against Pakistan in 1999.
Pakistan’s Cricketer Sarfraz Nawaz and Abdul Qadir have taken 9, 9 wickets in the innings. Sarfraz Nawaz had taken 9 wickets in the innings against Australia in 1979 while Abdul Qadir had taken 9 wickets in the innings against England in 1987.
In the history of Test cricket, including Sarfraz Nawaz and Abdul Qadir, 17 bowlers have taken nine wickets in an innings.
