A Lahore sessions court on Saturday took up a case of alleged domestic violence involving renowned stage actress Nargis.
Known for her captivating performances, Nargis has been a prominent figure in Pakistan’s entertainment industry, starring in numerous Punjabi stage-dramas and films.

According to a report by Samaa News on Saturday, the court reviewed the interim bail plea of the accused, Majid Bashir, who appeared in person before the judge. During the hearing, the police presented an incomplete investigation report.
According to the report, a police official requested additional time, stating, “We need more time to finalize the investigation and gather the necessary evidence.” The Duty Additional Sessions Judge granted an extension of interim bail to Majid Bashir until January 2, allowing the police more time to complete their inquiry into the case.
The allegations have sparked considerable attention, given Nargis’s prominent status as a cultural icon in Pakistan. Fans and supporters have expressed concern over the matter, urging justice to prevail.
The case was initially registered at the Defence-C Police Station, where the complainant accused Majid Bashir of domestic violence. The investigation remains ongoing.
