Atif also spoke about the long journey behind Subah Aye Na. The album marks his return to a full-length project after an 18-year gap.

He said creating an album required time, patience and considerable effort. Atif credited the continued support of his fans for motivating him to return to the album format.

“The love I’ve received from my fans over all these years is what gave me the motivation to do that,” Atif said.

He added that the album exists in many ways because listeners continued to support him and ask for a new full-length project.

The Karachi event also introduced fans to Discover Your Inner Aadeez, Spotify’s personalised in-app experience linked to Atif’s fan community.

The feature places listeners into one of four personas: OG Aadeez, Early Discoverer Aadeez, Moonrise Aadeez and Borderless Aadeez. Each persona reflects a different way fans have discovered and connected with Atif’s music.
