RAWALPINDI, August 21: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, met political leaders and notable figures from Balochistan on Thursday.

During the interaction, Asim Munir said the future of Balochistan and Pakistan remains closely connected. He described the province as home to talented, resilient and patriotic people.

The army chief said lasting peace and stability are essential for Balochistan’s economic development. He added that a clear national narrative could help attract investment and unlock the province’s human and natural resources.

Youth Seen as Key to Balochistan’s Future

Asim Munir highlighted the potential of Balochistan’s young population.

He said the province has no shortage of talent or opportunities for its youth. According to him, young people represent one of the most promising sections of society.

The Field Marshal stressed the importance of empowering young people. He said providing them with meaningful opportunities should remain central to sustainable development.

Greater participation from the province’s youth, he added, could contribute to national progress and economic growth.

Army Chief Warns of Foreign-Sponsored Threats

Asim Munir alleged that Fitna al Khawarij and Fitna al Hindustan are foreign-sponsored proxies being used by hostile elements.

He said these groups seek to destabilize Balochistan and obstruct its development. He also accused them of attempting to create divisions between the state and the people.

According to the Field Marshal, the country can defeat these efforts through national unity and a firm response from the state.

He stressed that hostile designs would not succeed against the collective resolve of the Pakistani nation.
