Mohammed Ahmed Describes On-Set Incident
The controversy began after Mohammed Ahmed appeared on the Dareecha podcast hosted by Sheeba Khan. During the interview, he recalled an incident in which a much younger lead actor allegedly mocked him on set.
Ahmed said the actor used a handheld fan to pretend he was styling his hair while loudly drawing the attention of others on the set. Although he did not identify the actor by name, the description matched a recently resurfaced behind-the-scenes video that quickly spread online.
Ahmed explained that he chose not to react at the time because he did not want the incident to escalate on social media.
Viral Video Sparks Industry Reaction
The video triggered widespread criticism from fans and fellow actors. Many believed it showed disrespect toward a veteran performer.
Actors including Faysal Quraishi and Shamoon Abbasi urged the individual involved to acknowledge the incident and apologise to Mohammed Ahmed.
Actress Nadia Jamil also criticised the behaviour shown in the clip. She said respect for senior artists should never be compromised, even in a light-hearted environment. She added that Ahmed appeared uncomfortable and questioned why the video had been shared publicly.
Fahad Sheikh Says Video Was Misunderstood
Responding through a series of Instagram Stories, Fahad Sheikh rejected claims that he had bullied Mohammed Ahmed.
He said he had worked with Ahmed on several productions and described their relationship as warm and friendly. According to Sheikh, the cast often joked together and shared a family-like atmosphere on set.
He added that the interaction shown in the viral clip was never intended to insult the veteran actor.
Public Apology and Legal Action
Sheikh revealed that he had already apologised to Mohammed Ahmed privately before the controversy gained public attention.
He also issued another apology publicly, saying he respected his senior colleague and would never intentionally disrespect an elder.
In his final statement, Sheikh announced that legal action was being initiated against individuals who, he claimed, deliberately circulated the video without its full context to mislead the public.
