According to the press release from the Sindh Interior Ministry, six officers were promoted from SP to SSP, while 11 DSPs were elevated to SP rank during the ceremony held at Muhammad Ali Shah Auditorium.
The event was attended by Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hasan Lanjar as the chief guest, while Inspector General of Sindh Police Javed Alam Odho hosted the ceremony.
Addressing the participants, the home minister congratulated the promoted officers and said the new ranks reflected recognition of their professional performance as well as increased responsibility in maintaining law and order, ensuring rule of law, and serving the public.
He added that the Sindh government is taking steps to enhance police capacity through modern training, improved resources, and welfare initiatives for officers and personnel.
IG Sindh also expressed confidence that the promoted officers would uphold professionalism, discipline, and public service values in their new roles.
The ceremony concluded with best wishes for the promoted officers as they assumed their upgraded responsibilities within the provincial police hierarchy.
