According to officials, three separate fires erupted near Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi, a major industrial and logistics hub operated under AD Ports Group. Emergency teams swiftly brought all fires under control, with cooling operations continuing.

Authorities said the injuries ranged from minor to moderate, with at least five of the injured reported to be Indian nationals. Emergency services responded promptly to the incidents, which were linked to falling debris following the interception of a ballistic missile.

The incident comes amid escalating regional tensions tied to the ongoing conflict involving the Iran, Israel and the United States.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned that Tehran would impose a “heavy price” for what he described as Israeli strikes on key industrial and nuclear infrastructure. He accused Israel of acting in coordination with Washington.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also issued warnings, urging workers at facilities linked to US or Israeli interests to evacuate, signalling the possibility of further retaliatory strikes across the region.

The incident underscores growing risks to civilian and economic infrastructure as the conflict continues to spill beyond primary battlegrounds.
