Karachi Pakistan : The Ambassador of Philippines in Pakistan Dr. Emmanuel R. Fernandez highlighted the increasing interaction between the citizens of both countries and expressed optimism about future collaboration.
He was speaking as a chief guest at the 127th National Day of Philippines by Dr. Imran Yousuf, honorary Consul General of Philippines in Karachi at a local hotel.

The Ambassador said that Philippines also opened Embassy in Karachi when Capital was here and it’s very much true that Karachi naver sleeps, he said that Philippines and Pakistan has good trade, cultural, educations and friendly relations trade volume in the favor of Pakistan, we hope our relationship will be improved during my tenour in Pakistan.
Philippines envoy said I feel very happy in the city of light which naver sleeps.
Dr. Imran Yousuf, Honorary Consul of the Philippines in Karachi and Chairman of Transformation International, delivered an inspiring and heartfelt address that highlighted the deepening ties between Pakistan and the Philippines. Addressing a hall filled with diplomats, ministers, and members of the local Filipino community, Dr. Imran began by expressing warm greetings: “Our Filipino community are the true ambassadors of their country.
Their energy and dedication reflect the best of their culture.” He warmly welcomed His Excellency Emmanuel R. Fernandez, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Philippines to Pakistan, on his first-ever visit to Karachi, and acknowledged the gracious presence of First Lady Alicia Fernandez, a renowned artist with international exhibitions to her name.Dr. Imran also thanked the Director General from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, senior government officials, and members of the diplomatic corps for attending and supporting the event, describing them as “not only friends of the Philippines, but allies of our shared mission for peace, inclusion, and progress.” Highlighting bilateral cooperation, Dr. Imran noted that trade between the two countries exceeds $300 million, making the Philippines the only ASEAN country where trade is in Pakistan’s favor.
He emphasized growing opportunities for collaboration, particularly in the IT sector. “With the Philippines’ IT industry currently valued at $38 billion and projected to reach $59 billion in three years, there is immense potential for knowledge-sharing. The Philippines is ready to support Pakistan in strengthening its IT exports and capabilities,” On the social impact front, Dr. Imran spoke of the consulate’s ongoing efforts beyond diplomacy.“Through our corporate social responsibility initiatives, we are addressing mental health needs — especially for children — and launching Pakistan’s first IT-based employable skills program for persons with disabilities under our Digitech Transformation (DTT) initiative,” he announced.He acknowledged the leadership of Syed Hussain Sajjad, a board member of inTransformation International, for spearheading this pioneering project.

Alicia Kalaw-Frenandez, during on the occasion of the 127th Independence day of the Philippines at this event the honorary Consul General of Philippines Dr Imran Yousuf is also present.
The event not only marked a national milestone for the Philippines but also served as a reminder of the enduring friendship and mutual respect between the peoples of Pakistan and the Philippines.
