Karachi : I am compelled to address an issue that has long been enshrouded in societal taboos that is Mental health. While physical health issues are often prioritized, Mental health struggles still remain stigmatized and people suffer this mental health in Silence and this silence can have devasting consequences.
The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly exacerbated mental health issues worldwide, with isolation, uncertainty, and loss leading to increased anxiety and depression. Acknowledging the lasting impact of this crisis is crucial, as we must prioritize mental health in public health initiatives to foster resilience in our communities.
Raising awareness is a key. We need to educate our communities starting with schools work places and public forms about importance of mental well _being.This includes promoting mental health literacy fostering empathy and creating support network that empowers people to talk openly the about their life struggle.
