150 years of Pakistan-Japan academic and literary relations.

Karachi Pakistan – Today, an informative lecture was organized by the Pakistan Japan Intellect Forum (PJIF) at the Consulate General of Japan in Karachi. Topic of lecture was 150 years of Pakistan-Japan academic and literary relations.

Renowned educationist Dr. Moinuddin Aqeel gave a detailed presentation on the history of academic relations between Pakistan and Japan. He said that in the last one hundred fifty years, Japanese professors have translated Urdu literature in Japanese universities like Kalam Iqbal and Dewan-e Ghalib. He admired efforts of Japanese professors Professor Suzuki Takeshi, Professor Kata Oka and Professor Suyama. PJIF founder Iqbal Burma and  Deputy Consul General Yasushi Nakagawa have also participated in the program.

PJIF founder Iqbal Burma said that PJIF is making tireless efforts to promote the cultural relations between the two countries.

PJIF is promoting Japanese language and its scope among the students of Pakistani universities. The Deputy Consul General appreciated the efforts of PJIF to augment existing relations between the two countries and expressed hope that such informative programs will be organized in the future as well.
