Karach : 10Pearls University recently hosted 10Pearls Connect ‘23 on October 15,
Held at 10Pearls Lahore office, the event brought together industry professionals,
community leaders, startup founders, tech experts, and enthusiasts to cross-collaborate,
immerse in the latest technological trends, and get acquainted with the tech community at
large. Launched early this year in Karachi, 10Pearls Connect is a platform “for the community, by the
community”, and provides a platform for tech leaders and specialists to exchange ideas,
experience people-driven products, and engage in discussions regarding cultural and
technological advancements and its impact.
Talking about the objective of 10Pearls Connect ’23, Syeda Sana Hussain, Head of People &
Programs EMEA, 10Pearls said, “To drive the tech industry forward and help businesses harness
the full potential of emerging tech, it is essential to have mixers that bring together industry’s
thought leaders. Aligned with the global business landscape, this edition of 10Pearls Connect
focused on rapid rise of generative AI, and the mindsets and strategies needed to thrive in a
world marked by constant change and paradigm shifts.”
Attended by over 200 professionals, the 10Pearls Connect featured stimulating keynotes, panel
discussions, and AMA (Ask Me Anything) sessions. It kicked off with an engaging speaker
session on The Power of VUCA Times by Wasif Mazhar (Chief Learning Officer, Make it Happen).
Mazhar discussed how disruption is the new normal, and the strategies to adapt and succeed in
a Volatile Uncertain Complex and Ambiguous (VUCA) world.
It also featured a Panel Talk on The Impact of Generative AI on Business and Innovation with
Arif Khan (Founder & CEO, Alethea AI), Rana Umar Majeed (CTO, Datics AI), Muhammad Aamir
Yaqub (Senior Director Engineering, 10Pearls) and Namra Nasyr (Corporate Trainer and
Consultant). The tech leaders shared how their companies are adapting to the rapid rise of
generative AI, and also discussed the ‘decentralized ownership of AI’, its business and ethical
challenges, and its myriad untapped opportunities.
Another Panel Talk on Navigating Productivity Tools, featured Iqra Hameed (Program Manager,
BAT), Saad Hasnain (Associate Product Manager, Beam), Sarim Mehmood (Product Manager,
CERP Labs) and Mahrukh Raza (Principal Product Analyst, Stewart Title/ Founder, Lean Outset).
The panelists discussed key factors to keep in mind when adopting new tools, and also shared
various AI-based tools that can be used to enhance productivity.
10Pearls Connect ’23 concluded with an engaging ‘Ask Me Anything’ session featuring Arsalan
Khattak (Developer Advocate) and Saad Aslam (Software Engineer, i2c Inc.) The session covered
a variety of topics, ranging from networking tips to finding mentors and improving gender

Islamabad.
