Rawalpindi, February 28, 2026: Zindigi, powered by JS Bank, in collaboration with the
State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Rawalpindi, has inaugurated the successful digitization of
Saddar Bazar, Bank Road Cantt, one of the city’s most prominent commercial hubs.
Achieved under SBP’s visionary framework, this milestone marks a major step toward
accelerating financial inclusion and advancing Pakistan’s journey to a truly cashless
economy.
The digitization of one of Rawalpindi’s busiest commercial Centres demonstrates tangible,
on-ground impact and sets a replicable model for markets across the country. Through
Zindigi Raast QR, merchants can receive secure, instant payments from any bank or wallet,
while customers enjoy a simple “scan and pay” experience with instant confirmation. This
integrated ecosystem boosts speed, security, transparency, and efficiency, building a digitally
empowered, cashless marketplace.

Rawalpindi; Noman Azhar, Chief Officer Zindigi; Rizwan Khalil Shamsie, Chief Manager
SBP; Atif Ishaque, Chief Business Officer Zindigi; and Mohsin Khan, Head of Merchant

were also present, highlighting a unified commitment among public and private stakeholders
to digital transformation.
Commenting on the launch, Noman Azhar noted, “Saddar Bazar Rawalpindi is not just going
digital, it’s becoming a live lab for understanding how cashless ecosystems reshape daily
commerce, testing next-generation payment solutions and setting a blueprint for future smart
markets across the country”.
Zindigi remains committed to partnering with regulators, civic authorities, and business
communities to drive sustainable digital adoption, empowering merchants and consumers
alike, and accelerating Pakistan’s transition toward a transparent and inclusive retail
economy.
