Karachi (Staff Reporter) On the orders of Commissioner Karachi and DC Korangi, dominant officer AC Landhi Syed Aoun Abbas Shah Naqvi took action against mill and tandoor owners. AC Landhi has initiated measures to control the prices of roti, naan and chapati. He weighed the bread and naan and imposed fines on the violators and issued warnings. On this occasion, AC Landhi Syed Aoun Abbas Shah Naqvi said that all possible steps will be taken to provide facilities to the public. He said that it is the right of the public that they get what they pay for. Several complaints have been received regarding the complexity of the expensive bread and flour sold in tandoors in Karachi, which Syed Aun Abbas Shah Naqvi said that most of the tandoor owners are selling roti of less weight than the weight fixed by the government to the public at arbitrary prices, due to which the problems of the people are increasing. He said that strict action will be taken against such people who are violating the government orders and heavy fines have been imposed on them and warnings have been issued so that they refrain from such actions. Syed Aoun Abbas Shah Naqvi said that the government is trying to provide relief to the people, for which such steps are being taken against tandoor owners to stop the unfair increase in the prices of bread. He said that the government has tried to formulate a clear policy for determining prices, under which tandoor owners have been instructed to keep their prices under control. In addition, various departments will continue to review the prices of tandoors in the markets and raids will be conducted as needed to ensure that tandoor owners are not arbitrarily setting prices. Syed Aoun Abbas Shah Naqvi said that the government has launched a public awareness campaign so that people can get information about their rights and government measures and can raise their voice against illegal profiteers.
