PARIS : Panic spread in a French hospital when doctors discovered an intact World War I cannonball inside a patient’s body. The bullet was lodged in the back of the 24-year-old’s body, after which parts of the hospital were evacuated as a precaution. According to a report in the New York Post, the 24-year-old Frenchman arrived at the hospital’s emergency department in severe pain. During the initial examination and emergency operation, doctors discovered that the patient had an eight-inch artillery shell from 1918 inside his body, which immediately raised the alarm, as there was a fear that it could explode at any time. It is not yet clear how such a dangerous and ancient weapon ended up in the patient’s body. However, authorities say the patient will be interrogated.
