SHEIKHUPURA – A shocking incident at the WAPDA complex in Sheikhupura has sparked public outrage after a video emerged showing a security guard physically manhandling an elderly woman who had come to the office to resolve a billing issue.
The widely circulated video on social media shows the distressed woman pleading while the guard forcefully drags her out of the premises, prompting widespread condemnation online and demands for justice.
Reacting swiftly, the Senior Circle Officer (SCO) of WAPDA ordered an official inquiry, affirming that such behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. Acting on the instructions of the District Police Officer (DPO), authorities have arrested the security guard and registered a case against him.
The incident has intensified public criticism of how citizens, particularly vulnerable individuals, are treated in government offices.
