Ramadan is a Month of Compassion and Service, Says Haji Abdul Razzaq Beli
Karachi: On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the well known welfare organization Ummah Welfare Trust Pakistan has transformed its existing “Ummah Sasta Dastarkhwan” into the “Ummah Iftar Dastarkhwan” in Karachi, providing daily iftar and dinner to hundreds of fasting individuals in a respectful and organized setting.
Under the Trust’s supervision, Iftar Dastarkhwans have been set up near PIDC Bridge and in Korangi Industrial Area. Together, these sites serve approximately 1,600 to 2,000 deserving individuals every day, including daily wage workers, travelers, and low income families. The administration stated that the primary objective is to provide a dignified environment where people can break their fast without feeling marginalized.

Quality and balanced meals are arranged daily. The iftar spread includes dates, fresh fruits, fruit chaat, and beverages, along with rotating main dishes such as beef biryani, chicken biryani, fish biryani, and fish qeema pulao to ensure a complete and nutritious meal.
Vice Chairman of Ummah Welfare Trust Pakistan, Haji Abdul Razzaq Beli, said that given the current economic challenges and rising inflation, extending support to deserving and lower middle income families has become essential. He added that Ramadan is a month of sacrifice, empathy, and service, and the Trust remains committed to ensuring that no fasting individual is deprived of iftar due to financial hardship.

He also urged philanthropists in Karachi to support the initiative so that more individuals in need can benefit.
Ummah Welfare Trust Pakistan operates under a 100 percent donation policy, ensuring that all contributions are spent directly on beneficiaries without administrative deductions. The organization continues to serve communities nationwide through projects focused on education, healthcare, livelihood support, and social welfare.
