Karachi (29 November 2025): United Business Group (UBG) President and former FPCCI President Zubair Tufail has welcomed the commitment shown by the leadership of the ruling UBG and the opposition group Businessmen Panel (BMP) at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce to work together for the better future of Pakistan’s business community. He termed the alliance between UBG and BMP as a sign of strength for Pakistan’s business sector.
According to a statement issued by UBG’s Central Spokesperson Gulzar Feroz, Zubair Tufail said that the business community across Pakistan is currently distressed due to unresolved issues and is expecting the government to provide immediate solutions. Under these circumstances, the business community wanted its voice to reach the government through a strong and unified platform. It is for this reason that the leadership of the United Business Group and the Businessmen Panel has announced this historic alliance.
Zubair Tufail added that the alliance between the two groups will not only prove effective in strengthening the national economy but will also help reduce the millions of rupees spent during elections.
The UBG President urged Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif and his cabinet to prioritize genuine consultation with the business community and resolve their issues on an urgent basis.
Congratulating former federal minister for Commerce Dr. Gohar Ejaz, UBG Patron-in-Chief S M Tanvir, BMP Chairman Mian Anjum Nisar, and other leaders on the UBG–BMP alliance, Zubair Tufail said that the nation is proud of Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir, who has played a key role in making the country unconquerable and in strengthening both national defense and the economy. He added that the unity between the two major business groups will also help steer Pakistan’s economy toward the path of progress.
