Karachi: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced it will take strict action against individuals spreading false propaganda against the Pakistan Army. The UAE Consul General in Karachi warned that residents and visitors in the UAE and Gulf countries must avoid posting misleading information about Pakistan and its institutions on social media.
The UAE authorities have previously imposed severe penalties for such actions, including life sentences and long-term prison terms. Individuals found guilty of spreading false rumors face immediate consequences and may also be expelled from the country.
Moreover, social media activity will be monitored, and past actions may affect visa applications. The Consul General emphasized that sharing or liking inappropriate content on social media could result in visa denials and other repercussions.
