KARACHI: A conglomerate of Real Estate companies from the United Arab Emirates will
invest 20 to 25 US Dollars in real estate industry of Pakistan through Association of Builders and
Developers of Pakistan (ABAD). Chairman ABAD Asif Sumsum has welcomed this initiative
and announced full support for the economic development and prosperity of Pakistan.
This was announced by a strong delegation of various UAE-based Pakistani Real Estate
companies including ALMIR, Habib Group, Mark Stone lead by Advisor to Government of
Pakistan for Overseas Pakistanis in Gulf Countries Sardar Qaiser Hayat. Karim Amir Ali
Chairperson Almir Real Estate Brokerage Dubai, Hafeez Habibi Chairman Habibi Group, Sami
Sajid Director Habibi Group, Sajid Siddiqui Mark Stone, Rehan Khan, Miss Afshan Khan,
Rohail Rahim, Altaf Essa, Wasimyar Baig were included in the delegation. Chairman ABAD
Asif Sumsum, Senior Vice Chairman Ibrahim Habib, Vice Chairman Zeeshan Siddiqui former
chairman Fayyaz Ilyas, former vice chairman Nadeem Jeewa and a number of ABAD members
were present on this occasion.
Addressing the meeting, Advisor to Government of Pakistan for Overseas Pakistanis in Gulf
Countries Sardar Qaiser Hayat said that investment form real estate companies of UAE in
construction industry of Pakistan will bring prosperity in Pakistan and Pakistanis will get
international standard residential facilities. He said Overseas Pakistanis want to invest 20 to 25
Billion US dollars in Pakistan. He said that Pakistan’s political and armed forces leadership
assure Overseas Pakistanis for safety of their investment in Pakistan. He said that ABAD is the
only representative Association of builders and developers of Pakistan and that ABAD is also
assisting the government to form policies for development of construction industry. He said that
being the lone representative organization ABAD could become the best source of investment
for foreign companies.
Welcoming announcement of UAE companies’ investment plan in real estate industry of
Pakistan, Chairman ABAD Asif Sumsum said that huge investment of 25 billion US dollars from
UAE companies will bring economic revolution in Pakistan. He assured of full support form
ABAD to UAE companies. He said that increasing population and Urbanization are providing
best opportunities to real estate companies in construction industry of Pakistan. He said that short
fall of more than 12 million housing units in Pakistan is a golden opportunity for real estate
investors. Karim Amir Ali, Sami Sajid and others also spoke on this occasion.
