WASHINGTON,USA : As President-elect Donald Trump prepares to take office on Monday his transition team has outlined a series of executive orders
expected to reshape U.S. policy on immigration, energy, and government operations.

Trump is expected to sign close to 100 executive orders on his first day, many aimed at reversing actions taken by the outgoing Biden administration.

In a preview call with senior congressional Republicans, Stephen Miller, Trump’s incoming deputy chief of staff for policy, revealed that the new president would immediately invoke a national emergency at the U.S.-Mexico border to unlock funding for his border security initiatives.

He also confirmed plans to reinstate Trump-era immigration policies, including the “Remain in Mexico” program, which requires non-Mexican asylum seekers to stay in Mexico while awaiting their U.S. court dates.

The incoming administration will also designate several drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations, further tightening immigration enforcement. Miller emphasized that these actions would undo many of President Joe Biden’s immigration policies, which were revoked on his first day in office in 2021.

Beyond immigration, Trump’s executive orders will focus on federal government operations. Trump is expected to sign a version of his controversial Schedule F order, which would remove job protections for federal workers, a move seen as part of his broader push to reshape the civil service.

Additionally, his administration is expected to move forward with a national emergency declaration aimed at expanding domestic energy production.

Further action will target diversity, equity, and inclusion policies within the federal government, as well as gender-related executive orders signed by the Biden administration. The Trump team is also planning an overhaul of government operations, with the Department of Government Efficiency expected to play a central role in Trump’s second term.

While the scale and ambition of these executive orders are vast, they are expected to face immediate legal challenges. Nonetheless, Trump’s team remains confident that these measures will solidify his policy priorities and create lasting change across various sectors of government and society.
