United States: Donald Trump is safe after a shooting incident outside his Florida golf club on Sunday. The New York Post reported that two people exchanged gunfire near the club, but law enforcement confirmed Trump was never in danger.
Trump’s campaign quickly assured the public of his safety but provided no further details. A statement from his spokesperson, Steven Cheung, confirmed, “President Trump is safe following gunshots in his vicinity. No further details at this time.”
This incident follows a recent attack on Trump during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on July 13. Trump was shot in the ear by a 20-year-old named Thomas Matthew Crooks. Despite the injury, Trump continued to address the crowd, urging them to “Fight! Fight! Fight!” The FBI later identified Crooks as the shooter. Crooks and another rally attendee were killed, and two spectators were injured, according to the US Secret Service.
