Under the banner of “Tree Legacy” a Plantation Project which is proposed and leading by Sadaf Faryal Shah, who is a PhD scholar at the University of Karachi in Department of Environmental Studies and holding chair of Environment and Climate Change at Rotary Club of Karachi Avenue, and for the year 2020 plantation drive done nationwide started from 18th August 2020 after the inauguration in Preston University Karachi, where project lead Miss Sadaf said that there is no planet B so we have to make a healthy choice and plantation is one of them which can control the pollution been spreading by the activity of urbanization and industrialization, she was thankful to Forest ministry which always plays a vital role in Tree Legacy project.
During the plantation along with Miss Sadaf Faryal Shah, Professor Doctor Tahir Rajpoot (VC Preston University), Mr. Gul Junejo (District Forest Officer), the team of Rotary Club of Karachi Avenue including President Imtiaz Hussain, Mr. Anjum Ghafoor, Mr. Faisal, Ms. Saima, Mr. & Mrs. Abid Hussain, Staff and student of Preston University and Rotaract Club of Karachi Avenue were present. Under the banner of Tree Legacy, Green Week celebrated by Rotaract Club of Mirpurkhas, an initiative taken by President Syed Azmat Hussain Abidi. Rotractor Tariq Jawed did plantation at Karachi, Ms. Fatima Aziz did plantation with her fellows, in KPK Mr. Nisar and Faraz did plantation.
