Torino: In a recent session, the Torino City Council passed a motion aimed at encouraging families with children to engage more actively in theatrical experiences. Spearheaded by Councilor Amalia Santiangeli (PD), the initiative seeks to involve schools, organizations, and cultural associations in promoting the city’s theatrical heritage, with a particular focus on theater for children and community theater.
The motion proposes collaboration with pediatricians, pharmacies, and para-pharmacies to facilitate the participation of culturally disadvantaged children, allowing them and a companion to attend theater performances at nominal prices. It also commits to supporting initiatives that engage families and children in theater programs, offering favorable pricing for students and low-income families.
By fostering greater accessibility and inclusivity, Torino aims to enrich its cultural landscape and provide meaningful experiences for families and children, strengthening the community’s bond with the arts.
