INDIA – GHAZI ABAD : A tragic incident occurred in the Indian city of Ghaziabad, in which three young sisters jumped to their deaths from the 9th floor of their residential building. According to police, the incident took place when their parents objected to their online gaming habit. The three deceased sisters were identified as Pakhi (12 years), Prachi (14 years) and Vishika (16 years). According to the police, the three sisters were so busy gaming that they often neglected their studies and became isolated from their family. After the incident, a diary and an 8-page suicide note were found near him, in which he described his gaming habits and emotions. In the note, he wrote, “Read everything written in this diary because it’s all true. I’m really sorry, sorry, Papa.” According to police, the accident was reported at around 2:15 am, and when officials arrived at the scene, the three sisters were taken to the hospital where doctors declared them brought dead. Investigations are ongoing and legal action is also being taken. Police said the sisters had started online gaming during COVID-19 and were particularly into mission or task-based games. Because of this, they often missed school and spent more time playing.
