The HESCO administration is taking 100% recovery of dues and operations against electricity thieves in the entire HESCO region.

HYDERABAD : In HESCO region, with the help of Sindh police officers and personnel, indiscriminate operations against power thieves and defaulters are ongoing and recovery magistrates are also present who will take immediate legal action against power thieves on the spot, including fines will be charged, case will also be registered and immediate arrest will also be made. Prime Minister’s instructions on behalf of the Government of Pakistan, to intensify the anti-theft recovery campaign to reduce the circular debt of the energy/power sector should be done in order to provide better electricity facility to the people. 78635 accused in electricity theft have been found, 69543 letters have been submitted to file cases, 215 electricity thieves have been arrested, more than 13 billion 12 crore 73 lakh have been recovered. The ongoing anti-electricity theft campaign under the supervision of HESCO Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Roshan Otho is continuing successfully. During the last 24 hours, 326 connections were caught across the region, out of which 304 letters have been submitted for lodging FIRs in different police stations, in which 05 FIRs have been registered. All the connections have been disconnected and they have been charged 0.152 (1 lakh 52 thousand) units in the form of detection bill, the value of which is more than 4.268 (42 lakh 68 thousand) rupees.

HYDERABAD According to HESCO spokesperson, on the instructions of HESCO Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Roshan Otho, the HESCO administration is taking 100% recovery of dues and operations against electricity thieves in the entire HESCO region. Connections have been disconnected due to illegal power thieves and non-payment of dues of defaulters, during the operations within the boundaries of different operational subdivisions of HESCO, 947 illegal connections were disconnected within the boundaries of Kotri Sub-Division while 426 connections of defaulters were disconnected. 1024 illegal connections were disconnected within the limits of Nooriabad sub-division while 461 connections of defaulters were disconnected, 834 illegal connections were disconnected within the limits of Sehwan sub-division while 375 connections of defaulters were disconnected, and 956 illegal connections were disconnected within the limits of Shahbaz sub-division while 430 connections of defaulters were disconnected. Disconnected, 1024 illegal connections were disconnected within the boundaries of Thatta, sub-division while 461 connections of defaulters were disconnected, 993 illegal connections were disconnected within the limits of Sajawal sub-division while 447 connections of defaulters were disconnected, 1078 illegal connections were disconnected within the limits of Makli sub-division were disconnected while 485 connections of defaulters were disconnected. 1895 illegal connections were disconnected in Tando Mohammad Khan I & II sub-division limits while 853 connections of defaulters were disconnected, 964 illegal connections were disconnected in Baldi Shah Karim sub-division limits while 434 connections were disconnected of defaulters, and 789 illegal connections were disconnected in Matli sub-division limits. were disconnected while 355 connections of defaulters were disconnected, and 4375 illegal connections were disconnected from the areas of other sub-divisions while 1969 connections of defaulters were disconnected More than 794 letters were submitted to the respective police stations to file FIRs against the electricity thieves. And 10.257 million rupees were collected from defaulters. More than 6696 electricity connections have been disconnected due to non-payment of defaulters and these connections will be restored after payment of dues. Eliminate electricity thieves and make payment of dues mandatory, because HESCO is an organization that cannot run its system without paying electricity bills, no person involved in electricity theft can be forgiven. Even if he is a HESCO employee, legal action will be taken against him as per the prevailing law. Furthermore, the HESCO chief has appealed to the consumers to pay all their dues immediately so that electricity supply can be uninterrupted. He said that electricity theft is a legal and moral crime, and if any criminal is caught, an FIR can be registered against him and he can be fined and detained under the prevailing law.
