Karachi : The Filipino community living in Pakistan organized a beautiful Christmas celebration along with a creative Parol Making Contest, bringing together families, youth, and community members in a joyful cultural gathering. The event was held at a farmhouse, decorated with traditional Filipino Christmas ornaments, music, dance performances, and prayers for peace, prosperity, and goodwill for both Pakistan and the Philippines.

The celebration was graced by the presence of Philippine Ambassador Hon. Emmanuel R. Fernandez and Consulate General Dr. Imran Yousuf, who appreciated the efforts of the Filipino community in keeping their cultural traditions alive while promoting harmony and unity in Pakistan.

This year’s Parol Making Contest stood out as participants created parols entirely from recycled materials, promoting environmental awareness, creativity, and community collaboration. Women, children, and young participants showcased beautifully crafted parols featuring vibrant colors, lights, and innovative designs. Winners were awarded certificates and recognition for their outstanding work.

Filipino women were also presented with special awards and certificates for their contributions to community activities and cultural participation. The event served as a heartwarming example of friendship and cultural exchange between the Pakistani and Filipino communities, strengthening the bond between the two nations.
