Summer in Pakistan is not just a season – it’s a symphony of sunshine, mangoes, and memories. As
the mercury rises, life takes on a rhythm of its own – slower in the heat, yet vibrant with colors and
traditions that only summer can bring.
From the golden wheat fields of Punjab to the sea breeze of Karachi, the sun writes stories across
the land. Schoolchildren swap books for badminton rackets. Families gather under fans, sharing
slices of chilled watermelon and long, lazy laughs.
Yes, we’re talking about the mango – the crown jewel of summer, loved across the nation. Chaunsa,
Sindhri, Langra – each one sweeter than the last. Every bite is a taste of sunshine itself.
Summer Scenes We Love:
– Icy gola ganda dripping down fingers.
– Kachay aam with salt and red chili on school sidewalks.
– Children splashing in tubs, rooftops turned into swimming pools.
– The distant song of a kulfi wala on a bicycle bell.
With temperatures touching 45°C and beyond, it’s no joke. Power cuts, water shortages, and
heatstroke make life hard for many – especially the poor, the elderly, and workers under the open sky.
So here’s a humble petition to all:
– Conserve water.
– Plant trees.
– Help someone – even with a glass of cold water.
Because a summer shared is a summer softened.
Let’s Embrace the Season
Let’s not just survive the summer – let’s celebrate it with care. Let’s teach our children to love the
sky, but also to shade the earth. Let’s make summer a season of kindness, poetry, and mangoes
