Karachi Pakistan : The ceremony of newly elected President of Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus 2024-25, Junaid Hamid was held on July 3, 2024 at Clifton Urban Forest, In which a large number of Rotary members and prominent Rotarians of District 3271 participated.
On this occasion, a ceremony was held at Mangrove Plantation at Urban Forest. Vice President Rotary International Hans Herman Kesten was the special guest of the main group plantation ceremony. His wife also participated. Director RI Faiz Kidwai and District Governor 3271, 2024-25 Rizwan Adhia, Secretary General District 3271 Raza Tabish Farooqui were also present on this occasion.
District Governor 3271, 2024-25 Rizwan Adhia gave pinning ceremony to President Junaid Hamid and Secretary Fawad Sheikh on the occasion.
Rizwan Adhia speaking at the event gave new year greetings to the Rotary Club Karachi Nexus in which he praised the past performances of RCK Nexus for the past year and also stressed the need to enhance membership, increase outreach and support Rotary Foundation and become a Donor Club and RC Nexus should play a key role in the upcoming conference discounts. He said that this club can become a best club.
Mr. Junaid Hamid said that this club has given the best performance in District 3271 before and will continue to do so. This is our club and by taking practical steps we have made it one of the top performing clubs and I want it to be the number one club during my time as well.
While the second ceremony was held at Plantation Mangrove in which Vice Chairman and Vice President RI addressed.
He said that I am very satisfied with this project which is the 7th focal area of ??Rotary International has been given the shape of a project by RCK Nexus in two years.
On this occasion, Mr. Junaid Hamid said that this is the only project in which leaders and vice presidents of Rotary International have come. It is a matter of great honor for RCK Nexus that the focal area declared for RI International in the same year RCK Nexus contributed to its vision by planting mangroves in the forest on Clifton above it.
RI President Stephanie A. York and RI Vice President Hans Herman Kesten were invited by him and they came. This is the only project of its kind in Pakistan and in the entire institute Rotary President and Vice President have come twice in a short period of six months. This gives you an idea of ??the importance of RC Nexus within the district.
On this occasion, Junaid Hamid said in his address that Dr. Khalid Sheikh has maintained the stature of the club that he got and will advance the projects that he inherited and will do new things that the Rotary Club of Karachi nexus same place. will continue to build on what has been done in previous periods.
Junaid Hamid thanked his team and said that I am grateful to my team who supported me and I expect them to fulfill my goals. Dr. Khalid Shaikh in his address apprised the audience of the performance of the last twelve months and said that the club has performed outstandingly and will continue to do so and I thank my team for supporting me. On this occasion Junaid Hamid RC Nexus presented shield to Rotary President, Vice President and presented a commemorative shield to Rizwan Adhia.
The meeting ended with a sumptuous hi tea by the seaside.
