Karachi Pakistan : A grand ceremony was held at the Iran Cultural Center in Karachi on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran. In this program, the Director of the Iran Cultural Center, Dr. Saeid Talebinia, renowned religious scholar Syed Shahanshah Hussain Naqvi, distinguished literary scholar Dr. Syed Iqbal Haider, assistant professor of the Persian Department at Karachi University Dr. Faiza Zahra Mirza and other prominent intellectuals shed light on Iran’s achievements in various fields in the last 46 years as well as on intellectual heritage of Allamah Muhammad Iqbal.
Talebinia gave a speech on the topic “the intellectual and scientific achievements of the Islamic Revolution”. He said that all the achievements seen in the Islamic Republic of Iran at this time are due to the Islamic Revolution. He said that before the success of the Islamic Revolution, Iran was so backward that there were no Iranian doctors for treatment there, so they were called from Pakistan, Bangladesh and India, while at the present time Iran had joined the developed countries of the world in the medical field.
On this occasion, a special ceremony was also held to unveil the Urdu translation of the Persian collection of speeches by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei about the poet of the East, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, titled “Allama Iqbal, the Great Thinker of the World of Islam.” The book has been translated to Urdu by Allama Syed Shahanshah Naqvi and published with the collaboration of Khan e Farhang Iran Karachi under the title “Allama Iqbal, the Revolutionary Thinker and Reformer.”
The speakers of session included the translator of the book, Syed Shahanshah Naqvi, special guest from Germany Dr. Syed Iqbal Haider, and other intellectuals.
The event was attended by Syed Amjad Shah, General Manager of Pakistan Television Karachi, Dean of Islamic Studies, Karachi University, Professor Dr. Zahid Ali Zahidi, and other cultural and social figures.
