On June 14, 2022, the bi-monthly meeting of the German Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI) was held at Bayer Pakistan head office in Karachi. The meeting was attended by prominent members of the GPCCI, with CEO & MD Bayer Pakistan, Dr. Imran Ahmad Khan and CFO Muhammad Shafiq, on hand to greet attendees.
Dr. Imran Ahmad Khan, H.E. Mr. Holger Ziegeler, Consul General of Germany, and Mr. Nadeem Kazmi, President GPCCI, made opening remarks to welcome the participants, followed by a keynote speech by H.E. Mr. Bernhard Schlagheck, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Pakistan.
Mr. Ehsan Malik, CEO, The Pakistan Business Council (PBC), shared a presentation on the main topic of the agenda, “Current Economic Policy Challenges” followed by a Q&A session.
Bayer Pakistan was pleased to host the session and extends thanks to all speakers and attendees for an insightful and productive meeting.
Holger Ziegeler said both the countries remained fruitfully engaged to promote cooperation in diverse sectors, including trade and investment, energy, environment, education, innovation, science and technology, and defence and security.
Germany is our largest trading partner within the European Union and amongst the biggest investors in Pakistan. It is also one of the most significant development cooperation partners for Pakistan,” he added.
