Globally banking plays a crucial role in any economy of a country and basically, banks are the custodian of deposits/assets of the general public. In Pakistan, all commercial banks, Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) worked under the supervision and regulations of the State Bank of Pakistan, which is the ultimate regulator of all banks.
In the current era of 21st century still in Pakistan old fashioned banks exist and still old fashioned banking is running but with the massive initiatives and regulations regarding implementation of digital banking it is now gradually changing and shifting towards digitization.
In the entire world Banking is the profitable business but also a sensitive and risky business, that’s why banking services cannot be provided successfully without loyal, sincere, honest and motivated team / staff.
Team work helps in minimizing the work load and increasing employee productivity and also minimize the work pressure / work stress of other individuals and helps in improving business performance of the organization.
As banking is the sensitive and risky business so it is necessary for bank to keeps its staff trained so their staff must have adequate skills to serve the customer in a true manner.
Bank must also provide learning opportunities other than technical skills, so they develop their personality and able to properly maintain their work life balance.
To give the best results to customer it is necessary that staff / team must be well educated, trained and equipped with soft and technical skills, as customer service is an art which includes staff emotional intelligence which helps in building strong relationship with clients and building the good image of a bank.
In Bank Branches staff / team working under the supervision and guidance of Branch Manager who is the captain of ship and ultimately responsible to create a healthy environment in the branches of bank and to keep their staff / team engaged regarding bank performance, upcoming plans, so they provide best possible services and helps in winning customer experiences, creating bank value and built the image of trust, and it’s also the responsibility of the Branch Manager that they must act as a leader, manage his branch and team in a true manner and do not hesitate to take decisions which are in the favor of bank and the safety of his team / staff.
A good team is like a family who supports in all challenges and helps each other. In corporate sector team work plays a crucial role but especially in banking industry trustworthy and competitive team matters a lot because right teams helps organizations to grow faster , helps to increase the profitability of bank and achieving the organizational goals effectively and efficiently.
In current COVID-19 pandemic situation banking industry shows a significant importance of teamwork performance and its effectiveness.
In Pakistan competition in banking industry is increasing with fast pace so the banks which have dedicated, committed and loyal team will enjoy more profitability, market share and customer confidence.
