KARACHI Trade Development Authority of Pakistan in collaboration with Trade and Investment Counsellor Seoul organized a Pakistan-Korea Online session for Handicrafts. In the session Trade and Investment Counsellor Seoul gave an overview of the market dynamics for handicraft products in the Korean market. He explained to Pakistani audience the degree of weight Koreans assign to different attributes of handicraft products and advised them to keep those market preferences in mind while considering the Korean market.
The webinar contained a detailed presentation by Mr. Danny Jeon, Business Developer IDUS who introduced the Korean e-commerce platform to Pakistani craft producers. He told the participants that IDUS is a suitable platform for them to test the Korean market and see whether Pakistani crafts align with consumer preferences in Korea. He provided various options that Pakistani craft producers had under which they can sell their products through IDUS in the Korean market.
Finally, the chairperson of Handicraft Association of Pakistan, Ms. Haleema Usman gave an overview of the association. She also told the participants about the diverse range of handicraft products in Pakistan. In the end, there was an interactive session in which participants expressed great interest in exploring IDUS for selling in the Korean market.
