Karachi 12 February 2025 : Special Assistant to Sindh Chief Minister for Investment and Public Private Partnership Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar inaugurated the “Agri Conference 2025” as the chief guest at Expo Center Karachi on today (Wednesday) morning.
This unique agricultural exhibition will continue for 2 days. The exhibition is organized by Pakistan Agriculture Coalition.
On this occasion, it was said that the aim of the agricultural exhibition is to provide opportunities for communication and connections between the farmers of the agricultural sector and the traders of the business community associated with the agricultural economy.
This is the reason why along with the farmers, heads and senior officers of banks as well as chief executive officers of companies related to agricultural economy and other related businessmen are present here in large numbers.
In his speech on this occasion, Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar said that agriculture is a very important part of our country’s economy.
He said that the Sindh government is providing various facilities to the farmers for the promotion of agriculture in the province. In which providing awareness of modern methods of agriculture as well as providing loans to farmers on easy terms with the support of banks for the purchase of modern machinery and other necessary items.
Beneficial measures like provision of KIBOR subsidy with the help of Sindh Enterprise Development Fund (SEDF) are included on these loans.
The Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh said that the Sindh government is continuously taking steps to strengthen the agricultural economy of the province through the application of modern technology through the provision of quality and fertile seeds, good fertilizers, irrigation system technology with low water, solar tube wells and Hari cards provided to the farmers of the province and in this regard, further suggestions received from this forum will be welcomed.
Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar told the farmers present at the exhibition and the heads of the companies and banks related to the agricultural economy that the Sindh government will provide all possible support in whatever progress will be made for the improvement of the agricultural economy of the province through this forum.
Muhammad Nasir Saleem, President of Habib Bank Limited, Ms. Salma Butt, Special Assistant to Chief Minister of Punjab, Kazim Saeed, Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan Agriculture Coalition, and others also addressed the event.
Chief Executive Officer of Sindh Enterprise Development Fund (SEDF) Khizr Parvez, Senior Strategy Associate of Pakistan Agriculture Coalition Rabia Zavalafiqar, Safa Imran, Shani Ahmed and other officials were also present on this occasion.
Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar along with the organizers also made a detailed visit to the stalls of various product manufacturing companies and institutions participating in the agricultural exhibition.
