Renowned Pakistani American Oil & Gas tycoon Syed Javaid Anwar has been awarded Hilal-i-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan for his valuable services in various fields including PAK-US relations.
The Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Star of Excellence, also spelled as Hilal-i-Imtiaz), is the second-highest civilian award and honor given to both civilians and military officers of the Pakistan Armed Forces by the Government of Pakistan. It recognizes individuals who have made an “especially meritorious contribution to the security or national interests of Pakistan, world peace, cultural or other significant public endeavors”
This is the highest honor given to him from Pakistan to the USA including PAK-US relations, philanthropy, and education. In recognition of his outstanding services in various fields, the President of Pakistan will confer on him at a prestigious ceremony at the Presidency on March 23.
This highest honor is conferred exclusively on Pakistani civilians and soldiers who have rendered invaluable services. Syed Javaid Anwar is a Petroleum Engineer by profession and holds a highly respected position in American political, governmental, and social circles for his exemplary service to the welfare and social work, including education in the United States.
He has played a commendable role not only in the field of global diplomacy in PAK-US relations but also in the welfare and philanthropic work in Pakistan. He is considered a close friend of many US political figures, including former US Presidents George W. Bush and Donald Trump.
He is also the Patron in Chief of the Houston Karachi Sisters City Association, which has made a name for itself from the United States to Pakistan.
