KARACHI – German Consul General in Karachi Eugen Wollfarth has highlighted that Germany will continue to support for GSP Plus and we ready to collaborate with regard to technical training. While expressing his views on the occasion of his visit to Korangi Association of Trade & Industry, he highlighted that German investors are interested to invest in Pakistan. President KATI Muhammad Danish Khan, Senior Vice President KATI Faraz-ur-Rehman, Vice President Maheen Salman, Chairman Standing Committee Masood Naqi, Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, Farhan ur Rehman and others also welcomed Consul General of Germany to KATI.
President KATI Muhammad Danish Khan comprehensively introduced Korangi Association of Trade & Industry. He mentioned that there are number of opportunities for mutual investments in agro, dairy and automobile sector. He mentioned that positive objectives can be achieved with enhancement of B2B relations. He shared that Germany is the 4th largest trading partner of Pakistan and we have 70,000 strong Pakistani diaspora in Germany including 4,100 young Pakistani students. He said that Germany is the market leader in technology and German experts can play a pivotal role in training of workforce in Pakistan.
Chairman Diplomatic Affairs Standing Committee Masood Naqi, expressed that there is a need to make visa process smooth and quick. Senator Abdul Haseeb Khan, emphasized on the importance of joint agreements and need of adopting a system which is workable for both countries. Later, German Consul General in Karachi Eugen Wollfarth in his address viewed that Germany will continue to support for GSP Plus and we ready to collaborate with regard to technical trainings if Pakistan take an initiative for such trainings. He informed that German investors are keen to invest in Small and Medium Enterprises sector and business delegation that visited last year to Pakistan went with a positive impression. He viewed that the visa process is being made smooth from the German Consulate in Karachi and special focus is to facilitate the business community.
