Karachi; Aircrafts (02 x C-130s) from the Royal Air force of the Sultanate of Oman carrying relief items reach Karachi
Under His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Sultan of Oman, directions, Aircraft (02 x C-130) from the Royal Air force from Sultanate of Oman, carrying tons of food stock, shelters, and medical supplies for flood-affected people in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, reached Jinnah International Airport Karachi today. The relief items will be supplied to the flood victims in Pakistan.
The relief assistance from Oman was received by representatives from the Pakistani Government including Major General Azhar Waqas Kiyani – Deputy Chairman NDMA, Lt Col. Yasir – V Corps, Mr. Ashiq Ali – ACP Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Haji Rasool Bux Chandio – Advisor to Chief Minister for Rehabilitation & Relief Department Government of Sindh, as well as the Sultanate’s Consul General to Karachi H.E. Eng. Sami Abdullah Al Khanjari & officials, where a relief aid aircraft was sent through the Royal Air force of the Sultanate of Oman, in collaboration with Oman Charitable Organization (OCO).
The Sultanate of Oman has continued to assist flood victims in Pakistan. Earlier, four military planes from Oman landed at Nur Khan Base, Rawalpindi – one Naval Ship from the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) yesterday and another two military flights are to land this week at Jinnah International Airport Karachi, bringing relief goods for the flood victims in the country.
