Uzbekistan: The ‘Made in Pakistan’ Exhibition was deemed to be a great success by the business community of both Pakistan and Uzbekistan. Almost 2000 B2B meetings were held over the three-day event at the Uz Expo Centre Tashkent from 28th – 30th June 2024.


An MOU worth USD 40 million was signed between a Pakistani company and the Bukhara Government. A meeting was held between the Head of International Investment & Export, Textiles Industry Association Uzbekistan (Uztexprom), and the Chief Executive of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan along with the exhibitors of the textile sector from Pakistan. Both sides discussed the possibility of Joint Ventures considering the niche of the Pakistani textile sector in Finished Textiles.


Pakistani side highlighted the issues of tariff and stressed for streamlining banking channels for enhancement of trade. Both sides agreed to expand Pakistani textile products across Central Asia. The G2G interactions during the event have paved the way for stronger trade and economic relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan in particular and Central Asian states in general.
