Karachi (May 29, 2023) Central Leader of Businessmen Forum and former Vice President of FPCCI Captain Abdul Rashid Abro has congratulated Iftikhar Ali Malik on his retirement after successfully completing the presidency of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry for 3 consecutive years and said that Iftikhar Ali Malik has set a new record of longest tenure from June 2020 to May 2023 as he successfully highlighted issues as president of the SAARC Chamber despite the conspiracies of the neighboring country including covid-19.
Captain Abro said that South Asia And Iftikhar Ali Malik’s leadership of the world’s largest trade organization for 3 years is a new record because no president of any country has held such long responsibilities for the SAARC Chamber. Captain Abrow said that the outgoing president of SAARC, Iftikhar Ali Malik, despite the immense difficulties during his presidency, not only shifted the head office of SAARC Chamber to Pakistan, but also built the most luxurious and modern 9-storey building of SAARC Chamber in Islamabad.
He said that The purpose of establishment of SAARC Chamber was to promote trade and industry in the region and to ensure the achievement of common goals in these areas and all the three personalities who were elected president of SAARC including Iftikhar Ali Malik from Pakistan fulfilled their respective responsibilities well. It is commendable that since the inception of SAARC, Pakistan has played a key role in promoting regional economic integration and relations among the member countries and strengthening this wonderful forum.
