Bollywood stars Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri’s romantic drama Dhadak 2 has collected Rs20.75 crore within just 10 days of release, standing firm against heavy competition.
Despite going up against films like Son of Sardar 2, Saiyaara, and Mahavatar Narsimha, the movie has managed to retain its audience. Reports indicate that on Sunday, Dhadak 2 recorded an average 31.12% occupancy in Hindi cinemas, with evening shows drawing the largest crowds.
The film’s compelling plot, heartfelt romance, and strong performances have helped it sustain momentum at the box office. Analysts predict that if this pace continues, the movie could soon cross the Rs30 crore mark.
Earlier, Saiyaara—starring Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday—also defied expectations by performing exceptionally well and outshining several other releases.
Industry observers note that Bollywood’s common belief—that only thrillers or single-hero formula films become hits—has been challenged by the success of Saiyaara and Dhadak 2.
