Jamshoro (February 10, 2026): Sports Week 2026 began with tremendous excitement at Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro (SABS) University of Art, Design and Heritages Jamshoro, marking the start of the Inter-Batch Sports Olympiad. The event was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto, in the presence of chairpersons, university officers, faculty members, and students.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Sports In-Charge Ar. Fahad Shams Nizamani, along with his team members Shahrukh Noman and Arshad Ali Qureshi, who played a vital role in organizing the week-long series of sporting events.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto lauded the efforts of the sports committee and underlined the significance of sports in fostering teamwork, discipline, leadership, and a positive academic environment on campus. She said that sports play a vital role in shaping character and instill qualities such as leadership, perseverance, respect for rules, and the spirit of fair play. Dr. Bhutto said that participation in games not only promotes physical and mental well-being but also nurtures unity, tolerance, and mutual respect among students from different batches and disciplines.

She encouraged students to participate enthusiastically, uphold sportsmanship, and use this opportunity to learn, bond, and grow.

The Sports Week features games and competitions, including Cricket, Football, Badminton, Table Tennis, Tug of War, Chess, Marathon, and a variety of indoor and outdoor events. Students from different departments are participating with great enthusiasm, adding color, energy, and a spirit of healthy competition across the campus.
