Karachi : The 62nd meeting of the Board of Commissioners (BoC) was convened by Dr. Khalid Shaikh, Chairman (BoC) of SHCC at Karachi. The meeting was attended by other members of the Board including Dr. Ghulam Rasool Shah, Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Shoro, Dr. Mirza Ali Azhar, Prof. Sameer Qureshi, Prof. Shoaib Gangat, and Dr. Ahson Qavi Siddiqi CEO, SHCC. Dr. Siddiqi presented the minimum service delivery standards for the laboratories and dental services for approval. The Board members reviewed the quality standards and approved sending these standards for the notification in the official gazette. Dr. Khalid Shaikh Chairman of the Board appreciated CEO and his technical team for achieving this milestone. Dr. Shaikh highlighted the critical importance of regulating dental and laboratory services to prevent the spread of communicable diseases, particularly Hepatitis B and Cand HIV-Aids, in Sindh. He urged the SHCC team to take immediate measures to ensure the quality of these services. CEO presented a draft Audited Statement of Accounts report of third-party auditors for the approval of the Board. Dr. GR Shah, convener of the Accounts and Finance Committee reviewed the report and proposed the Board for approval. The Board sanctioned the third-party audit report and directed the CEO to submit a copy to the Department of Health following the SHCC Act 2017.The Board approved the engagement of the National Testing Service (NTS) for the recruitment of vacant positions within SHCC, aligning with its commitment to ensuring a qualified and competent workforce.
