KARACHI : Minister for Law, Religious Affairs and Human Rights Omar Soomro on Sunday inaugurated an exhibition on Yahya Kemal, a portrait of a poet as the first Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, at Arts Council of Pakistan -Karachi.
Consul General of Turkiye to Karachi Cemal Sangu and Professor. Dr. Halil Toker Director Yunus Emre Institute Pakistan was also present on the occasion.
The exhibition was organized by the Yunus Emre
Institute Pakistan.
A number of portraitsportraits were put on display.
Speaking on the occasion, the Sindh Caretaker Minister Omar Soomro said that Pakistan and Turkiye had old and brotherly relations. He said that Pakistan had always been with their Turkish brothers and sisters.
Consul General of Turkiye to Karachi Cemal Sangu said that today was a very remarkable day. He said that Pakistan and Turkiye were celebrating their 75 years of diplomatic relations.
