The Chairman SLIC, Mr. Shoaib Javed Hussain in collaboration with Alpha Insurance Company (a subsidiary of SLIC) signed a landmark Agreement with Mr. Rafiq Malik, COO of Bykea for insuring Accidental death and Disability alongside Hospitalization cover for the Bykea Passengers. The Agreement shall also cover valuables of Bykea Passengers and Bykea Consignments, in case of any theft.
The agreement, first of its kind, is bound to extend the protection benefits to the uninsured people who cannot afford in Pakistan the conventional Insurance services.
With this historic agreement with M/s Bykea, SLIC is all set for expansion of its insurance outreach to the general population and particularly the working youth of the country ensuring their life’s financial and livelihood protection.
The other key feature of this agreement is the true digital innovation and access to the passengers, the common citizen, embarking a paradigm shift from the conventional insurance approaches. These features and affordable costs will be the reason for its attraction for similar Ride services, providing valuable protection at the beneficiary’s fingertips.
From SLIC point of view, this is one of the initiatives of its Chairman’s broader vision of providing every citizen of the country with the benefits of true social and financial protection in the event of the certain unforeseen incidents.
Further, we will extend this “State Life Ride Protection Plan” for Riders of all segments i.e. (e-commerce, courier companies and food delivery startups of Pakistan) in logistic industry by supporting the vision of Digital Pakistan.
