Opposition Leader in National Assembly (NA), Shehbaz Sharif, on Monday urged speaker of National Assembly (NA) Asad Qaiser to issue production orders of Asif Ali Zardari.
Addressing lower house of the parliament, the president of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) apprised lawmakers that Asif Ali Zardari did not adopt any delaying tactics to abscond proceedings.
He said, “Asif Ali Zardari appeared before National Accountability Bureau (NAB) regularly. He [read Asif Ali Zarari] has tendered reply to every question posed by the premier anti-graft watchdog.”
Shehbaz also urged speaker NA to issue production orders of incarcerated PML-N lawmaker Khawaja Asif.
On the other hand, a team of NAB on Monday entered Zardari House to arrest Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari in fake accounts case, GNN News reported.
Earlier today, Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday rejected a petition filed by former president President Asif Ali Zardari and sister Faryal Talpur, seeking extension in the pre-arrest bail in the fake bank accounts case.
