Seasoned journalist Mehboob Shaikh holds interactive session with neuroscientist Dr. Naweed Imam Syed.
A session on ‘Present, Past, and Future of Technology and Innovation’ was held in Toronto, Canada for university students of Smart Information Technology, Nano-Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The event was organized by noted journalist, writer and humanitarian, Mehboob Ali Shaikh with Dr. Naweed Imam Syed, who is a Professor at Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary.
Dr. Syed, a neuroscientist, is the inventor of world’s first neuro-chip, which attaches brain cells with the silicon chip.
A large number of students and other professionals attended Dr. Naweed Imam Syed’ presentation on brain cells, future inventions and technological advancement, which was followed by a Q&A session.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Brampton, Canada commended the inventions of Dr. Naweed.
Acting Counsel General of Pakistan in Toronto, Yasir Iqbal Butt, appreciated Mehboob Ali Shaikh for organizing such a prestigious event. He also dragged attention of the audience towards the devastation caused by floods in Pakistan and underlined the importance of relief efforts.
Addressing the ceremony, Mehboob Shaikh said Pakistan is faced with severe challenges and stressed upon the national harmony in dealing with the catastrophe.
Mehboob Shaikh said the purpose of the event was to apprise the young students with the trends in technological advancement and innovation in a healthy environment.
